Newforge House

Newforge House is an award-wining 5 Star Georgian Country House opened by John and Lou Mathers in May 2005. Set on the edge of the village of Magheralin, and cradled in beautiful mature gardens and green fields, Newforge House offers warm hospitality in tranquil surroundings. Our six individually designed bedrooms blend antiques with contemporary comforts and offer views of our gardens and the surrounding countryside.

As a small family run Guesthouse, we aim to make each guest feel very much at home. On arrival, we invite guests to relax by the fire in our cosy drawing room whilst enjoying a pot of artisan leaf tea or freshly brewed coffee with homemade biscuits.

Explore our gardens and find our small orchard which is home to our friendly chickens who lay wonderful eggs for breakfast. Our "Ulster Fry" is must-try and was judged to be "Best Guesthouse Breakfast in Ireland" at the 2017 Irish Breakfast awards.

An oasis of calm, Newforge is the perfect location for a romantic break. Our central location also makes Newforge an ideal touring base for exploring Northern Ireland.
